What is the ICTR?

The ICTR was conceived as a way of bringing people together across Europe to run the Iron Curtain Trail. We plan on raising money for charity and fostering a shared European spirit through building a community of runners.

How does it work?

Accepted Answer

We will group you together with other runners, and you can stay in contact and keep each other motivated through your training. On the day, everyone will run virtually and add together the distance to cover the entire trail. Of course, if you physically want to run a section then you're more than welcome to!

What's in it for me?

Runners will get to nominate a charity of their choice, which will go into the draw. Every runner will also be entered into a raffle, with a chance to win a range of prizes including high end running gear.

The exact date is still TBD, but it is likely to be in Spring 2027. We want to start spreading the word early to get lots of runners signed up.
